The Sous Chef mobile app

The Sous Chef app for iPhone and Android gives you the same Sous Chef service you use on the web, and everything in the policy above applies to it. The app also handles the following.

Signing in with Apple or Google

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, your email address (with Apple this can be a private relay address) and an account identifier, and use them only to sign you in to your existing Sous Chef account. We never post to these accounts.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can send the alerts you choose, such as cancelled orders or a store going offline. You can turn them off in the app's notification settings or in your phone's settings at any time.

How the app is used

We record how features of the app are used, linked to your account, to fix problems and improve Sous Chef. We collect this ourselves. The app contains no third-party analytics, session recording or advertising tools.

Support

Messages you send through in-app support are handled by our support provider on our behalf.

No tracking

The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, does not use your device's advertising identifier, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising. On our website and in the web version of Sous Chef we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used. Clarity is not used in the mobile app.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app under Settings, or ask us to do it. See how to delete your account.
